  • For Garden Communicators: Learn new ways to talk about plants and gardening to better market plants and yourself.
  • For IGC employees: how to better engage your customers and sell plants and merchandise from the heart.
  • For Landscapers: Discover how a well-timed and perfectly pitched newsletter can excite your clients about your services.
  • For Master Gardeners: Find out ways to better convey information to the public and keep them excited about their yards and gardens.
  • For Everyone: Connect with others who communicate about plants and network for everyone’s benefit. And of course you’ll see and photograph the beautiful Blithewold grounds and gardens.

Learn how marketing has changed. Talking about how beautiful a plant is, how pretty the flowers are or how this new plant will make your neighbors jealous won’t cut it anymore. Today and tomorrow’s conscious consumers, want to know more. Learn how the language you use about plants can pull them in or turn them off. 
 
11:00AM C.L. Fornari, “Capturing Attention Through Stories”
How the basics of storytelling can be applied to “selling” a plant, horticulture, or your business. Learn how to craft written or verbal stories to capture your audience’s attention and wallet. Specific examples given to jumpstart your thinking.

1:00PM Tour of Blithewold Gardens and Greenhouse
with Gail Read, Garden Manager​
 
2:30PM Optional impromptu GWA Power Circles
Meet in small groups with fellow GWA members who share similar goals or work experience. Network and brainstorm, or form virtual support groups for future group benefits.

  • Early Registration: Friday, September 15
  • Regular Registration: Friday, October 6
     

Cancelation Policy
Cancelation requests received in writing by Friday, September 15 will be subject to a 25% cancelation fee, which will be deducted from the refund. No refunds will be made after Friday, September 15. Substitutions will be permitted with no penalties.
