You may have heard that Cleveland, Ohio is a hotbed of horticulture. Now it’s time to experience it in a whirlwind tour of five of the city’s best horticultural sites. Join us for behind-the-scenes tours at two commercial growing operations which span a broad botanical spectrum from perennials to woodies, orchids and tropical plants. Then see the plants in action in the private gardens of two local award-winning garden designers. Plan extra time to visit renowned independent garden centers, public gardens and more when you visit Cleveland.

||Enjoy lunch and a tour at Willoway Nurseries, producer of over 2,000 varieties of trees, shrubs, perennials, annuals, and tropical plants for independent garden centers. This is the largest pot-in-pot grower in the Midwest, offering sizes ranging from 3 gallon shrubs to 45 gallon trees.

||Enjoy a tour and dinner at the home of Just Add Ice Orchids, Green Circle Growers. This large-scale grower supplies a variety of beautiful plants, including orchids, tropicals, foliage, succulents, and seasonal crops to area box stores and grocery chains. Their plants are grown in 100+ acres of state of the art greenhouses using innovative growing practices.
||Meet local author Tony Marini who will be giving us a private reading of his children’s book, Penny the Christmas Pickle and signing books.

||Breakfast and time for networking in the hotel gathering space.
||Tour the home garden of award-winning garden designer Bobbie Schwartz. Bobbie has worked to create a unified landscape that complements her French Norman home while accommodating her obsession with perennials, ornamental grasses, and flowering shrubs. You’ll see many of the 2,000 varieties she has trialed over the last few decades. Bobbie will also be discussing her latest book, Garden Renovation: Transform Your Yard into the Garden of Your Dreams, and will do a book signing for us.
||Tour the private garden of Nancy Drobnik of Miriam's River House Designs, LLC, an award winning landscape design company. Nancy’s garden is located in a beautiful park setting, with a river running alongside it. Its special features include a Japanese tea house and garden, meditation pavilion, fibonacci spirals, a monastic herb garden, an astronomical time clock, and a trip through the solar system. Your chakras will be aligned and you’ll feel a renewed sense of peacefulness after visiting this remarkable garden.
||Our meeting officially concludes at noon. Attendees may choose to stick around to meet up for lunch or visit local retailers before heading home. A list of local restaurants, retailers, public gardens and other area attractions will be provided.

Cancelation requests received in writing by Friday, September 7 will be subject to a 25% cancelation fee, which will be deducted from the refund. No refunds will be made after Friday, September 7. Substitutions will be permitted with no penalties.
